Soft and hard hadron form-factors

1994
The form factors of hadrons treated as bound states of constituent quarks are investigated in the framework of a technique based on dispersion integration over mass. Hadron structure in the soft region is described in terms of the invariant vertex function of hadron transition into constituent quarks. This vertex function determines hadron form factors at small momentum transfer Q. It is also shown to describe the contribution of the soft region to the hard hadron form factor at large momentum transfers, when the form factor is determined to power corrections in 1/Q{sup 2} by the contribution of valence quarks. Special emphasis is placed on details related to the spin of constituents and the bound state. 23 refs., 6 figs.
