Flexible Creation of Virtual Companies to Satisfy the New Market Demands in the Tourism Sector

In the tourism industry the ability to rapidly respond and adapt to new market demands is a core issue to maintain competitiveness. This paper proposes a semantic solution based on the composition of WSMO services to enable a flexible and swift creation of virtual companies. This solution includes the description of new services in terms of tourism ontologies, an infrastructure to catalogue and discover services, a graphical tool for the composition of services, middleware to deploy and execute the services and a Web 2.0-oriented interface generator, which creates user interfaces that conform to the interaction of end users with compound Web services.
