Mecanismo de resistencia a antimicrobianos en bacterias

2009
Antimicrobial resistance is a problem in public health. The mechanisms may be intrinsical or adaptive. The adaptive mechanisms could give to the bacteria an ability to destroy the antibacterial drug, to express the efflux system that excrete the drug so that cannot get the intracellular target, or some bacteria could generate a metabolic via that protect them with the active drug. The adaptive mechanism may shown the phenotypic adaptations that involve the metabolic state of the bacteria and their ability to produce biofilms. In this review we mentium the principals mechanisms related to the resistance to antibiotics.
