Ciprofloxacino como inductor de mania. Descripcion de un caso

2010
In the last few years, cases of mania associated with certain antibiotics in patients with no prior history of bipolar disorder have been described. The antibiotics most frequently associated with the development of mania appear to be clarithromycin, isoniazid and the fluoroquinolones (which include ciprofloxacin). The present article describes the case of a female patient with no prior history of bipolar disorder who was admitted to a general hospital with maniform symptoms associated with ciprofloxacin.
