A technique for the determination of 90Sr, plutonium and americium isotopes in environmental samples

2005
A technique is proposed for the determination of the concentration of strontium, plutonium and americium radioactive isotopes in single samples from various environmental matrices. The technique is based on the consecutive determination of strontium by extraction, and plutonium and americium isotopes by ion-exchange chromatography. It allows reliable results to be obtained at significant reduction of the sample preparation and solution transfer times.
