Line Protection Scheme for Multiple-receiving Ends HVDC System

the concept of multiple receiving ends HVDC systems is described in this paper. Based on PSCAD/EMTDC, a simulation model of multiple receiving ends in series connection mode has been established, with which the characteristics in fault conditions of each line are simulated and analyzed. And, based on this new connection of multi-ends system, a new protection scheme has been proposed to identify the fault segment of transmission line and verified through simulation.
