INVESTIGATION OF SEDIMENT TRANSPORT IN HYDRAULIC STRUCTURES AT EASTERN BLACK SEA REGION OF TURKEY

A study on sediment transport in Eastern Black Sea Rivers from the point of view of coastal balance, dam planning and basin management. One of the greatest problems to which hydraulic structures are exposed is sedimentation of their reservoirs. In this study, it was tried to determine the total sediment yield of Eastern Black Sea Region Rivers and it was predicted that this value would be 1 to 4 million tons per year. Also, various problems aroused by sediment transport and possible solutions are presented.
