Value of Color Doppler Echocardiography in Diagnosis of Coronary Artery Fistula

2013
Objective To analyze characteristics and to explore the value of color doppler echocardiography in diagnosis of coronary artery fistula. Methods Clinical data of 11 patients with coronary artery fistula during January 2000 and October 2012 was retrospectively analyzed. Results Color Doppler echocardiography displayed significant extension, tortuous courser and visibility fistula in coronary artery;left atrium and ventricular enlargement, and broadening aortic root diameter were also found;the right ventricle of the right coronary artery fistula was common;abnormal high speed blood flow existed in chambers heart. The differences of widest diameters and inner diameters in involved coronary artery by color doppler ultrasound, kinetocardiogram and coronary angiography were not statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion Color doppler echocardiography could provide exact and valuable information in diagnosis of coronary artery fistula, and it is a safe and noninvasive examination method.
