The organic electroluminescent light emitting device and an organic electroluminescent lighting device

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent device with reduced cost and capable of suppressing deterioration of an organic light-emitting layer by shutting off moisture and oxygen from the outside for a long period of time. SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent device has a translucent substrate 1, a transparent conductive layer 2, an organic light-emitting layer 3, and a cathode layer 4 laminated in order, and the organic light-emitting layer 3 is covered by a metallic foil 6 adhered by an adhesive layer 5.
