Structural Modelling for the Factors of Facility Management in the Healthcare Industry Using the TISM Approach

2021
Decision-making is a crucial task and becomes complex especially when attributes rise in numbers. To deal with such situations, the Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) approaches helps the industries in prioritizing the tasks. The present study explores the day-by-day increasing internal and external pressure as imposed by stakeholders on the healthcare industry in terms of providing first-rate facilities for the end-users (i.e. patients). As far as the demand of the healthcare sector is concerned, organisational agility helps in achieving set targets and market growth. It is pertinent for healthcare services organisations to rework their standard operating procedures to endure human health-related issues. The present study aims to list factors and attempt to reveal the significant contribution of these factors in terms of affecting facility management of healthcare organisations by the MCDM approach. In this chapter, the Total Interpretive Structural Modelling (TISM) approach and MICMAC analysis are used for structural modelling and validation purpose. The outcome of this chapter might help in the management of healthcare organisation facilities in such a manner that every stakeholder will benefit.
