A first set of articles addresses and comments the issue of energy transition: transition in progress; alternate financing arrangements for building energetic renovation; the French debate on energy poverty in the light of European examples; how to learn from the present for a better preparation of the future for the European electricity market in front of energy transition; a focus on New-York State as an example of energy transition in progress in the USA. The second set of articles addresses nuclear issues: the citizen conference of the management of nuclear wastes within the Cigeo project; a critical discussion of the reaction of the ANDRA to this conference; the costs of life extension of nuclear reactors (comparison of investments according to different strategies - continuation, fleet reduction, phasing out nuclear, and assessment of the associated MWh economic costs). The third set of articles proposes a focus on methane: discussion of radiative forcing and Warming Global Potential of methane as they are mentioned and discussed in IPCC reports; evolution of methane emissions in Europe by different sectors, and challenges and costs of a programme of emission reduction in the different economic sectors.
