Plantar Flexor Sheath Resection

Twenty-five years ago, I treated a child with a congenital short femur (CSF) with coxa vara. I tried, unsuccessfully, on three occasions to correct the coxa vara. I was unsuccessful in the early phases of surgery as well as in the late recurrence of the coxa vara. I found this very disturbing. I also had two other patients that had come to me for treatment with whom other orthopedists had the same problems.
