Bu calismada, bir hafta (7 gun) acliktan sonra beyin korteksinin sensomotor, limbik ve orbital bolgelerindeki notral peptid hidrolaz (NPH)’larin aktifligi ve histokimyasal degisikliklerin belirlenmesi amaclanmistir. Arastirmada 40 adet Wistar Albino sican kullanildi. Sicanlar bir hafta (7 gun) sureyle ac birakildi. Belirtilen gunun sonunda usulune uygun olarak olduruldu. Bu hayvanlarin, beyin korteksinin sensomotor, limbik ve orbital bolgelerindeki notral peptid hidrolaz aktivitesi biyokimyasal olarak belirlendi. Ayrica, bu bolgelerde meydana gelen histokimyasal degisiklikler de incelendi. Bir hafta acliktan sonra sensomotor, limbik ve orbital bolge homojenatindaki NPH aktivitesi azalmisti. Sensomotor, limbik ve orbital bolgelerde acliga bagli olusan histolojik degismeler belirgin olarak artmisti. The present study was designed to determine the histochemical changes and neutral peptide hydrolyse activity (NPH) in the sensorymotor (SC), limbic (LC) and orbital cortex (OC) of the brain after one week starvation. The study was performed forty Wistar-Albino rats . The rats were suffered starvation for seven days period. At the end of the starvation period, the rats were sacrificed. The activity of NPH was determined in the sensorymotor, limbic and orbital cortex. Histochemical changes which take please in these areas were also studied. The activity of NPH in homojenat at sensorymotor, limbic and orbital areas were decreased after one week starvation. Histological changes which depend on starvation at sensorymotor, limbic and orbital areas were significantly increased.
