RAPID DETERMINATION OF MAGNESIUM AND ZINC IN CHICKEN BY ATOMIC ABSORPTION SPECTROMETRY

2004
Chicken sample was treated with suspension technique. The sample was crushed, sifved and so made into agar suspension.Magnesium and zinc in chicken were successfully determined by suspension technique-flame atomic absorption spectrometry. The amount of agar solution and detection limit were studied. The results indicat that the coexistent elements have no chemical interference, that viscosity of test solution is identical with its blank solution and there is no background absorption interference. The relative standard deviations are less than 2.1%.The determination results are consistent with those obtained by ashing method. The relative errors between them are less than ±2.6%.This method is convenient.
