O significado do curso de licenciatura para enfermeiros egressos da Universidade Federal de Pernambuco The meaning of the degree course for graduates nurses from Federal University of Pernambuco

The Nursing Degree aims to prepare nurses to act as teachers in the training of nursing professionals to improve nursing technician level. The objective of this study was to identify the meaning of Nursing Degree course for licensed nurses at the Federal University of Pernambuco. Descriptive, exploratory, qualitative study, conducted by interviews with 12 nurses, guided by semi-structured schedule containing questions about the theme. The data were subjected to content analysis in the thematic mode. From the speeches four themes were revealed: experience of interdisciplinary; development of skills for teaching career; strengthening of the nurse's role as an educator for health promotion; expansion opportunity in the professional field. The results showed that the degree had several meanings and contributed positively to the training of these professionals.
