A new anti­pyrine Schiff base: 4-(5-chloro-2-hydroxy­benzyl­ideneamino)-1,5-dimethyl-2-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-3(2H)-one

The title compound, C18H16ClN3O2, has been synthesized by the reaction of 5-chloro­salicylaldehyde and 4-amino­anti­pyrine. The mol­ecule adopts an E configuration about the central C=N double bond. Intra­molecular hydrogen bonds and intra- and inter­molecular C—H⋯O inter­actions are observed.
