It’s hard to find great films about pandemics that are not “zombie” films, such as 28 Days (2000), its sequel, 28 Days Later (2002); or World War Z (2013). Contagion is a fast-paced thriller with an ensemble cast, brilliantly directed by Steven Soderbergh.
