RECENT DEVELOPMENTS IN GEANT4 SHIELDING ASPECTS OF ACCELERATORS, TARGETS AND IRRADIATION FACILITIES – Recent developments in Geant4

Geant4 is a toolkit for simulating the passage of particles through matter andit is used by a large number of experiments and projects in a variety ofapplication domains, including high energy physics, astrophysics and spacescience, medical physics and radiation protection. An overview of the physicsprocesses in the toolkit is presented focusing on hadron interactions. Thetoolkit also has many other useful functionalities for shielding calculations.These include event biasing options and primitive scoring which provide an easyinterface to simulation results.
