On Social Supports from the Community-based Social Organization for Urban Weakers

The social transformation has made the social weakers prominent.The community-based social organization was in its birth burdened with the task of giving social supports to the weakers.As the change of the unit system has shifted some social management functions to the community,the community services now also include giving help to the weakers within the community.As a result, the community-based social organization began to play a more and more important role in providing social supports to the weakers. The community-based social organization has done a lot of work in re-employing laid-off workers,helping the community with the disabled and the elderly,and promoting the development of public welfare.It also participates actively in collaborating with the Government's management of the community weakers,and in mobilizing the public's participation in giving supports to the social weakers.
