The invention discloses a coupled controllable train tail on-board communication system and a redundancy communication method thereof. The system comprises at least two main train on-board communication devices arranged on a main control locomotive and at least one train tail on-board communication device arranged at the tail portion of the train tail. The main train on-board communication devices and the train tail on-board communication device are communicated with each other via LTE(long term evolution); at least two main train on-board communication devices are utilized to receive air exhaust orders from the main car control device and send the orders to at least one train tail on-board communication device; at least one train tail on-board communication device is utilized to send the air exhaust orders to the train tail control device and sends the air exhaust state information feedback from the train tail control device to at least two main train on-board communication devices. With the coupled controllable train tail on-board communication system and the redundancy communication method thereof, packet loss when the main train on-board communication devices send air exhaust orders is avoided, and safety and reliability of the coupled controllable train tail on-board communication system is improved.
