Linewidths in the pure rotational Raman spectra of hydrogen chloride and carbon monoxide and of nitrogen and carbon monoxide perturbed by hydrogen chloride

Pressure-broadening coefficients, α p , have been determined for self-broadening of pure rotational Raman lines of carbon monoxide and for pure rotational Raman lines of hydrogen chloride, and carbon monoxide and nitrogen perturbed by hydrogen chloride at 293 K. The results are discussed and compared with calculated and experimental σ p values in the literature
