System and method for positioning and navigating unattended flyer

The invention discloses a system for positioning and navigating an unattended flyer. The system comprises a control processing module, and a GPS (Global Positioning System) module and a wireless communication receiving and transmitting module which are communicated with the control processing module respectively, wherein in the control processing module, position information acquired from only one of the GPS module and the wireless communication receiving and transmitting module is taken as a basis for positioning and navigation. The invention further provides a method for positioning or navigating the unattended flyer. Due to the adoption of the technical scheme of the invention, requirement under different conditions can be met by switching the sources of positioning or navigation information as required, and adaptability to more complex environments can be realized; and moreover, trouble on flying control caused by the taking of information acquired by using two positioning modules as positioning or navigation information is avoided.
