Hybrid Receiver Model for Interference Cancellation in Multi Carrier-CDMA

2020
In fading channel mode, multi carrier code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) is facing many challenges like phase distortion, random amplitudes and high error probability. The interferences like multiple access interference (MAD disturbs the capacity and performance of MC-CDMA. To overcome these issues, this paper has proposed the hybrid receiver for MC-CDMA by combining threshold based parallel interference cancellation (TPIC) scheme and minimum mean square error based parallel interference cancellation. The TPIC uses decision statistic magnitude and threshold function to remove the MAI from the received signal. The performance of the Hybrid-PIC scheme is compared with two different conditions. It is observed that the HPIC outperforms the Improved-PIC (IPIC) with 2dB at 1E-3 of BER.
