Biometrics and seasonal changes in weight and fat deposition of Cetti's Warblers Cettia cetti in Central Greece
2011
The aim of this study was to describe the biometrics and, in particular, changes in weight and fat deposition in the Cetti's Warbler Cettia cetti, based on ringing studies in the Schinias wetland near Athens, Greece. The data suggest that females carry more fat than males during the breeding season. Wing and tarsus measurements, as well as time of capture, were significant predictors of weight, but fat score was not.
