Message Sending Method Using Patients' Priority for Medical Sensor Network

2009
Aid supporting systems for emergency cases to collect patients’ medical data such as their conditions, blood pressure and so on real-time are developing recently. Part of them form sensor network and collect patients’ medical data. Among data, there are important data needed to be sent immediately. However, sending the data with unicast has problem about loss at midstream of the path. On the other hand, flooding the data makes amount of traffic too huge which oversaturates the bandwidth. For sending the data certainly, it is required to keep traffic low and path diversity large. In this paper, we propose emergent messages ending method, EMPaD, enlarging path diversity and keeping the amount of traffic low. Using simulations, we evaluate the proposal, and results show that our proposal enlarges path diversity while traffic is kept low.
