An efficient and regioselective bromination of aromatic amines and phenols using lanthanum (III) nitrate hexahydrate as a catalyst
2015
A simple, highly efficient and economic method for the mono-bromination of number of aromatic amines and phenols using La(NO 3 ) 3 . 6H 2 O as a catalyst is explained. The protocol is regioselective, high-yielding and applied at room temperature to a number of aromatic amines and phenols having electron donating or withdrawing substituents.
