Bronchography Using Dionosil Oily
1953
A new suspension of Dionosil in pure arachis oil (Dionosil Oily) has been utilised for bronchography in 116 cases of various lung conditions with satisfactory results. It is well tolerated by the patient, though it is slightly irritant. We have found it less irritant than other diodone-like compounds. The removal of the contrast medium from the lungs is rapid and the lung fields are radiologically clear from all traces of the agent within a few days. There is no evidence to show any deleterious effects in the lung following bronchography.
