The invention relates to a production method of bamboo and cotton fabric that is woven by warping, slashing and reeding warp yarn which is then woven with weft yarn. The warping is controlled under the principle of 'intermediate speed, small tension, low extension and ensured elasticity'. The slashing adopts the process route of 'low viscosity, low temperature, small tension and ensured extension'. The formula of dressing mixture mainly adopts intermediate-low viscosity modified starch and subsidiarily adopts low polymerization-degree PVA and polyacrylic ester. Weaving adopts the process route of 'small tension, small opening, low back rest and proper backward movement of the back rest'. A temple is of special type. Humiture is to be controlled at low level. The tail of knot yarn is short and cropping is timely. Through reasonable process configuration, the loom efficiency reaches 94.8 percent. The bamboo and cotton fabric produced by the method is a novel environment-friendly healthy fabric, is characterized by environment protection, air permeability and smoothness, softness and comfort, washing resistance and good verticality, has bacteriostatic action and is used for making bedding articles, nurseling underclothes, medical textiles, terry handkerchiefs, decorative cloth, technical fabric, etc.
