LA PRODUCCIÓN DE INFORMES CIENTÍFICOS DEL INIDEP Y SU RELACIÓN CON LAS CAMPAÑAS DE INVESTIGACIÓN: análisis métrico del período 2008-2016 = THE PRODUCTION OF INIDEP’S SCIENTIFIC REPORTS AND ITS CONNECTION TO THE RESEARCH CRUISES: metric analysis from the period 2008- 2016

Resumen Algunos de los principales productos documentales que se generan en el Instituto Nacional de Investigacion y Desarrollo Pesquero (INIDEP) son los informes cientificos los cuales, segun sus caracteristicas y propositos especificos, son clasificados en distintos tipos. Uno de ellos alude, por ejemplo, a la descripcion de las actividades llevadas a cabo durante las campanas, asi como otro tipo se utiliza para la comunicacion de resultados de investigacion con fines de asesoramiento en el manejo de los recursos marinos. A partir de los datos obtenidos de los informes producidos entre los anos 2008-2016, en este trabajo se exponen los resultados de un analisis bibliometrico cuyos objetivos fueron establecer una caracterizacion de los informes y dilucidar si existe una correlacion que los vincule a las campanas ejecutadas en el mismo periodo. Como resultado, se comprueba una relacion directamente proporcional entre el volumen de informes de campana recabados y el numero de campanas de investigacion concretadas, pero una debil a moderada vinculacion entre estas y los demas tipos de informes. Se identifica un comportamiento atipico de los informes tecnicos oficiales, los cuales, a pesar de constituirse como el principal vehiculo de asesoramiento del INIDEP y de poseer una correlacion exigua con las campanas cientificas, presentan una importante baja en su produccion. Abstract Some of the main documentary products that are generated in the National Institute for Fisheries Research and Development - INIDEP are scientific reports. According to their different typologies, they possess specific characteristics and purposes, such as the description of all the activities that take place during the cruises and the communication of research results with consulting purposes on the marine resources management. Based on data obtained from reports produced between the years 2008-2016, the present work shows the results of a bibliometric analysis which aims were to establish a reports characterization and to elucidate whether a correlation between the reports and the cruises carried out in the same period of time exist. As a result, a directly proportional connection between the number of cruise reports and the number of research cruises is verified, even though this link appears to be weak to moderate between the cruises and the other three types of reports. An atypical performance of the technical reports is identified which, despite constituting INIDEP's main consulting vehicle and presenting exiguous correlation to the research cruises, present a significant decrease in their production.
