Una experiencia de práctica pedagógica con docentes en formación en ciencias naturales apoyada en el aprendizaje basado en proyectos (ABPy)

In this paper, an alternative proposal for teacher training is presented. It is based on Project Base In this paper, an alternative proposal for teacher training is presented. It is based on Project Based Learning (PjBL), the Meaningful Learning Theory (MLT), and essential characteristics for projects design by the Buck Institute for Education (BIE). The purpose is to bring teachers in-training into a scenario of professional practice that responds to their interests and allows them to generate innovative proposals that promote meaningful learning in students. This proposal was carried out within the Bachelor’s program in Basic Education with emphasis in Natural Sciences and Environmental Education, affiliated with the University of Antioquia, in Colombia. The projects carried out by teachers in four educational institutions were analyzed using a qualitative methodology, through the case study. Difficulties of the teachers during the process of planning and execution o f the projects are verified, but also a conceptual appropriation of theoretical references at the end of the training process. This proposal has been submitted and approved in a public call, as part of a doctoral thesis with an emphasis on PjBL attached to the University of Burgos, Spain.
