Thermal Transients of Induction Machine Under Changeable Voltage Unbalance

This work is devoted to thermal transients of an induction cage machine supplied with voltage of lowered quality. The effect of changeable voltage unbalance combined with voltage deviation on windings temperature is analysed. Windings heating curves are shown for fluctuations and step change of voltage in one phase. The results of experimental investigations and calculations are presented for 3-kW and 5.5 kW, totally-enclosed fan-cooled machines.
