A DISCUSSION OF THE WAVELAN RADIO AS RELEVANT TO AUTOMATED VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEMS

In this study, the WaveLAN radio, currently being used to implement the control loop communication in the California PATH program, is investigated. Results show that WaveLAN is adequate for only one platoon per cell due to limited bandwidth.
