SVET and LEIS: Following and quantifying protection process

2003
For the fast evaluation of modern high quality coatings new efficient methods are needed which provide reliable information in a short time about the protective features of the coatings. Electrochemical techniques are the potential candidate for such an application, particularly the modern scanning methods like the local electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (LEIS) and the scanning vibrating electrode technique (SVET). Within this work both methods were applied for testing differently pigmented protective coatings.
