Iron additive for high-magnesium-aluminum alloy fusion casting and preparation method thereof

2015
The invention provides an iron additive for high-magnesium-aluminum alloy fusion casting and a preparation method thereof and in particular relates to an additive for high-magnesium-aluminum alloy fusion casting and a preparation method thereof. The invention aims to solve the technical problems that a conventional iron additive is low in melting speed or cannot be melted and is low in actual yield, the smelting temperature is high, the smelting time is long and the energy consumption is high during high-magnesium-aluminum alloy smelting. The iron additive provided by the invention is prepared from iron powder and a fluxing agent. The preparation method comprises the following steps: 1, weighing the iron powder and the fluxing agent; and 2, uniformly mixing the iron powder and the fluxing agent weighed in the step 1, and then pressing the mixture into a round cake under the condition that the hydraulic pressure is 6-7.5MPa, thereby obtaining the iron additive for high-magnesium-aluminum alloy fusion casting. The iron additive for high-magnesium-aluminum alloy fusion casting, provided by the invention, is relatively simple in preparation method, and has the advantages of being capable of being used at a relatively low smelting temperature, shortening the melting time, improving the actual yield, saving energy sources, being convenient to transport and store and the like. The iron additive and the preparation method thereof provided by the invention are applied to the field of preparation of iron additives for high-magnesium-aluminum alloy fusion casting.
