Clinical feature of metabolic syndrome and comprehensive intervention in old people in urban communities

Objective To explore the clinical feature and measure of comprehensive intervention for metabolic syndrome in old people in urban communities.Methods 241 cases of old patients with metabolic syndrome and 448 old people in good condition were investigated in height,weight,Body Mass Index,waistline,blood pressure,fasting blood glucose,blood lipid and health status.Results Metabolic syndrome,hypertension,hyperglycosemia,obesity and abnormal blood lipid ratio is high among elderly groups in urban communities.Conclusion with effective integrated interventions,health education,regular follow-up,weight control,rectification of metabolic disturbance,and personalized treatment,standards of living of old patients with metabolic disease in urban communities can be promoted.
