The variable speed gear disclosed by the utility model comprises a shell, a main reducing mechanism arranged inside the shell and a planetary gear reducing mechanism arranged at the input end of the main reducing mechanism; the planetary gear reducing mechanism comprises a planetary gear mechanism, wherein the planetary gear mechanism comprises a sun gear coupled with a motor, an inner gear ring sleeved at the outer side of the sun gear, a plurality of planetary gears arranged between the sun gear and the inner gear ring and a planetary carrier connected with the plurality of planetary gears and used for outputting power to the main reducing mechanism; the planetary gear reducing mechanism further comprises a brake and a clutch and is provided with a first gear and a second gear, wherein the first gear is used for enabling the inner gear ring to be locked on the shell of the variable speed gear to enable the planetary gear mechanism to output in a speed reducing manner when the brake is closed and the clutch is opened, and the second gear is used for enabling the inner gear ring and the sun gear to be locked to enable the planetary gear mechanism to integrally rotate when the brake is opened and the clutch is closed, therefore the transmission efficiency is improved.
