The stress dependence of the domain structure and the magnetic permeability of monocrystalline MnZnFeII ferrite

Abstract The dependence of the domain structure in a monocrystalline ferrite bar on tensile stress has been observed with a scanning electron microscope. The initial magnetic permeability is measured on a stressed rectangular frame. The results are interpreted in terms of a simple theoretical model.
