SIGNAL DETECTION AT A POISSON NOISE BACKGROUND

The problem of detecting a random signal is considered under presence of a Poisson noise. Decision rules and computational methods to obtain the detection algorithm. Comparison of the suggested criteria is carried out which permits the selection of the best, in some sense, detection algorithm. The conclusions made are verified by the results of numerical modelling on different examples.
