Caracterización de la producción maderera y su transformación por empresas familiares productoras de muebles en Sincelejo y Sampués

The management of forests is a major global concern because the threat of deforestation is an indicator that puts at risk the environment. The overall goal of this research is to describe how timber production is developed and its processing for the production of furniture, as well as the administrative and practical foundation that has been followed in the transformation of this natural resource with impact on entrepreneurship carried out by family enterprises in the municipalities of Sincelejo and Sampues in Sucre Department. This is an explanatory and exploratory study for the sources of information used specially of secondary type in its large proportion. In these two municipalities it is where the major transformation of wood centers in furniture and there ploughs species in extinction ace the Cedar, the Caracoli, the Mahogany, the Carreto, the Guayacan, the Ceiba Tolua and there is not a widespread consensus yet to avoid this situation put at risk families that depend on this activity on not having had a promissory future with this reality. It is concluded that can be suggested perspectives of new providing useful wood promissory species for the Department of Sucre and in addition, strengthen the marketer Guild of wood.
