This article presents the development of a virtual sensor for distance, which is incorporated into a software robot simulator implemented in stages to search for routes in mobile robotics. The virtual sensor is implemented with characteristics similar to a physical sensor for this purpose took on the characteristics of a proximity sensor, which delivers a variable that depends on the distance to the object perceived.
