Developments in aluminium alloys

Abstract This paper comments on some of the developments in the fabrication, performance and end use of aluminium alloys with emphasis on material cost. Attention is concentrated on extruded materials for structural and semi-structural use but relevant references are made to other forms such as plate, sheet forgings and castings.
