The Still Unsolved Germinal Centre Mystery (Invited Lecture)

When I was invited to give a lecture at this Conference I looked through the list of titles of the other contributions, and saw that Germinal Centres figured very little, despite the fact that the 5th Conference includes them in its main title. In the event we have heard a few very interesting papers on germinal centres, but I decided that these structures had been unduly neglected and that it would be opportune to try to restore to them something of their earlier status.
