Advance in Diagnosis Techniques for Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome

Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome is a highly contagious disease which mainly causes the reproductive disorder in sows and the respiratory symptoms in piglets.Since it is hard to make a clinical definitive diagnosis in PRRS,many laboratory techniques should be taken to make a definitive diagnosis.The progress on some main diagnosis techniques of PRRS was reviewed in this article,which included viral isolation,the serology test and the diagnosis technique in molecular biology.
