THE ROLE OF THE UNIVERSITY CURRICULUM AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY TOWARDS STUDENT'S ENTREPRENEURIAL INTENTIONS

2020
This study aims to measure the direct relationship between the university curriculum and teaching method towards entrepreneurial intentions. The university curriculum covers the syllabus and the content of the learning objectives that students should take away upon completing the semester. It also involves the co-curriculum activities that may involve outside classroom activities such as mini scale business for a short period. The teaching method covers the elements of teaching, whether it involves lecture, group activities, problem-based learning, or conferences with the involvement of the third party from the industry. The data was collected through online and email survey methods. A link of google survey form was sent through email and WhatsApp message to target respondents. Six hundred forty respondents participated from three selected private universities in Malaysia. The results demonstrated that both the university curriculum and teaching method are important towards developing entrepreneurial intentions.
