Current Sharing Method of Charge Controlled Interleaved Buck Converter

2019
This paper studies the charge controlled interleaved buck converter, which possesses advantages of fast transient response and good control accuracy. However, unbalanced inductor currents are existed due to inevitable differences of parameters in each phase. The influence of differential integrating capacitors on unbalanced phenomenon is analyzed firstly. Aiming at the unbalanced problem, a novel current sharing method is proposed. By adopting zero voltage switching (ZVS) in synchronous switch, the average value of inductor current can be regulated while the difference of inductor currents among each phase is introduced. With the proposed method, good current sharing effects can be realized under both light and heavy loads, which is easy to implement. Simulation results demonstrate the validity of the theoretical analysis.
