An Unusual Association of Two Hydatid Cysts Diagnosed on Computed Tomography Scan

2020
The hydatid cyst is a parasitosis caused by the larval form of Echinococcus granulosus. Localizations in humans are varied. The liver and the lung are most frequently affected. However, this parasitosis can occur in other organs. The gluteal area and the uterus seem to be exceptional locations. We report here a case of a very rare association of hydatid cyst in the uterus and the gluteal region in a 67-year-old patient. The diagnostic was made by computed tomography.
