The invention relates to a ceramic mass with a phase-heterogeneous ceramic, comprising m by weight of a phase made BaNd¶2¶Ti¶4¶O¶12¶ negative temperature coefficient of the dielectric constant and 100 - m per cent by weight of a phase made Nd¶2¶Ti¶2¶O ¶7¶ positive temperature coefficient of the dielectric constant, where: contains 50 frit, the ZnO, and B¶2¶O¶3¶ SiO¶2¶ and the weight of 3 to 10 weight percent is the ceramic. Further, the invention relates to a multilayer capacitor having the ceramic mass. The ceramic composition of the invention has the advantage that it can be manufactured already at a calcination temperature of at most 1180 ° C and that is possible by a suitable choice of the parameter m to minimize the temperature coefficient of the dielectric constant. Furthermore, the ceramic composition of the invention can be sintered together with copper electrodes.
