Sheath Resonance in a Magnetized Sheet Plasma

Sheath resonance in a magnetized sheet plasma is studied experimentally in connection with r.f. plugging and heating. The r.f. plugging of the plasma is confirmed to occur more effectively at the frequency of a series resonance in the r.f. circuit containing the plasma, the sheath and the oscillator.
