2017
TB control that had not been reached the target to occurs Multidrug Resistant Tuberculosis (MDR TB) yet, caused the patient never consumed OAT (Anti Tuberculosis). The incidence of drug-resistant cased of WHO, Southeast Asia namely Myanmar and East Africa, namely Ethiopia. South Sumatera, the handling of MDR TB implemented in Hospital Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang in 2014. The research aimed to analyze the incidence of MDR TB. This study was based on a case control study design to all patients with MDR TB cases and negative suspected controls of MDR TB were 75 people, at ratio was 1:1. Data analysis used univariate, bivariate chi square test and logistic regression multivariate predictive models. The result of multivariate analysis showed that the most dominant variable affecting the incidence of MDR TB was knowledge with an OR of 6.215 (95% CI 1.448 to 26.670) that mean, lower knowledge  could get risk about six times more to having MDR TB. The incidence of MDR TB was predicted at 55% influenced by knowledge, side effects, patient motivation and contact with MDR TB / TB. Health promotion about MDR TB had to presented the community because of the high rate of transmission and the low of treatment understanding and examination of GeneXpert was expected conducting after BTA + ≥3 months of treatment because the possibility of TB patients fail caused irregular taking medication only but important one was infected Mycobacterium tuberculosis that was resistant to OAT
