Effect of Organic-inorganic Complex Fertilizer from Silkworm Excrement on the Yield and Quality of Leafy Vegetables

Effects of organic-inorganic complex fertilizer from silkworm excrement on the yield and quality of leafy vegetables(Chinese cabbage,lettuce and spinach) were studied in the pot experiment.The results showed that the yields of the leafy vegetables increased by 36.0%-57.6% and 20.8%-34.3% respectively in the application of organic-inorganic complex fertilizer from silkworm excrement compared with conventional inorganic fertilizers and organic-inorganic fertilizers.The content of chlorophyll also increased.The reducing sugar content of the three leafy vegetables had increased by 37.8%-72.3% and 11.8%-21.8% respectively,the Vc content increased by 25.6%-74.6% and 5.5%-27.5% respectively,the content of nitrate decreased by 23.6%-42.7% and 4.0%-6.8% respectively,in the application of organic-inorganic complex fertilizer from silkworm excrement compared with conventional inorganic fertilizers and organic-inorganic fertilizers.
